Import Services
We act as your importer in the United States
Legal responsibility for a US customs entry sits with the Importer of Record. Without one, exports stop; with inaccurate importer data, the IOR number itself can be voided. Our US entity takes that role.
Services
Core service
Nominated IOR
KALIMENT NEXUS LLC, a US company with a physical place of business, acts as Official Importer of Record: IOR number, customs bond, entry and payment, recordkeeping.
DetailsEntry and duty planning
Documented HS classification, transaction-value review, origin determination and drawback eligibility. Entry data is reconciled with commercial and logistics records.
Compliance documentation
FSVP records, supply-chain and origin evidence, forced-labor attestations — assembled before the goods ship, not after CBP or FDA asks.
When you need it
- Selling direct on Amazon, your own store or to several retailers with no US importer
- Entering goods under a Korean company (non-resident) IOR number whose eligibility after EO 14411 is uncertain
- Your US buyer will not act as importer and wants DDP terms
- Testing the market with a first shipment before forming a US entity
What the importer owes on food
Food entries carry FDA requirements on top of CBP. Taking the importer role means taking these on as well.
| Requirement | What it is | How it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Facility registration (FFR) | FDA registration of the manufacturing facility, renewed every two years | Maintained by the exporter; we verify number and renewal status before shipment |
| Prior Notice | Shipment notice to FDA before food arrives | Confirmed on the importer side and matched to the entry |
| FSVP | Importer verification of the foreign supplier’s food-safety controls | Performed by the importer (KALIMENT NEXUS LLC); exporter supplies hazard analysis, process and test records |
